Taste: A Black Tea blend with the sweetness of vanilla and the earthy heat of spices, redolent of India.
Black tea is high in antioxidants, polyphenols, flavonoids and other beneficial compounds, which can be protective against heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, cancer and high blood pressure. Black tea contains caffeine which, along with L-theanine, increases alpha wave activity and improves both relaxation and focus. Tea drinking creates more stable energy levels when compared to other sources of caffeine.
Vanilla extract (Vanilla planifolia) contains vanillin which is the compound responsible for the vanilla flavour. Its also a powerful antioxidant which is protective against cell damage, age related disease and deterioration of the skin. Vanilla extract has also been shown to be antibacterial and protective against bad bacteria, anti-inflammatory and antidepressant.
The spices Ginger (Zingiber officionale), Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum), Cardamom (Elettaria, cardamomum) and Allspice (Pimenta dioica) work together to stimulate good digestion, relieve bloating, relieve nausea, improve insulin sensitivity, normalise blood pressure and blood sugar levels, reduce inflammation, reduce pain, are antibacterial and antiviral. As well as these benefits these spices are high in antioxidants which protect the cells against oxidative damage and thus against cancer and age related disease.
All of my teas are blended so that the ingredients work in synergy for the desired result.

How to prepare: Prepare by steeping 1 heaping teaspoon of the mix per cup of boiling water for 5 minutes, or alternatively for a stronger brew, bring to the boil on the stove, adding milk and sweetening to taste.
