Essiac is a herbal mixture for boosting your immune system, balancing blood sugar and improving vitality. Has been used in conjunction with medical treatments for cancer. Use before chemotherapy to strengthen your body’s resources and after the course of chemotherapy to help with recovery.
Essiac was originally a blend of herbs used by the Ojibwe First Nations people of Canada. It was given to a nurse in a breast cancer clinic, named Rene Caisse, by a miner’s wife who had lived in the country where the Ojibwe lived, and had been given the blend to help her recover from breast cancer. Essiac is Caisse spelled backwards. The Ojibwe used the blend for strengthening any sick people who needed a health tonic and a boost to their general well-being. In the clinic it was shown to also have the effect of increasing the immune system which helps the body fight off tumors. The blend is highly nutritious and contains a lot of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and supports the function of the liver and kidneys.
*Herbs are a good addition to a holistic health plan which also includes nutrition, exercise and consultation with your doctor when necessary.
