Taste: Sweet basil undernotes of tulsi, with the earthy heat of spices.
Tulsi Chai is an aromatic blend of Tulsi(Ocimum Sanctum), Ginger(Zingiber officianale), Cloves(Syzygium aromaticum), Black Pepper(Piper nigrum), Star Anise(Illicium verum).
Tulsi, also known as Holy Basil, is a medicinal herb from India and south east Asia which is used in the traditional practice of Ayurveda.
Tulsi is an adaptogenic herb, which means that it helps the body adapt to stress and helps increase energy. Tulsi also contains beneficial compounds which relieve pain, inflammation, help the cells function efficiently, and remove waste, regulate serotonin and dopamine, and improve eye health.
All of my teas are blended so that the ingredients complement each other.
*Herbs are a good addition to a holistic health plan along with nutrition, exercise and consultation with your doctor when necessary.
How to prepare: Prepare by steeping 1 heaping teaspoon of the mix per cup of boiling water for 5 minutes, or alternatively for a stronger brew, bring to the boil on the stove, adding milk and sweetening to taste.
